Korea-Nordic Future Challenge

The Korea-Nordic Future Challenge (KNFC) program is a joint program between the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS), KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and Uppsala University (UU). By combining the innovative strengths of Korea and Sweden, the program equips students with practical problem-solving skills and fosters new forms of international collaboration for sustainable development. Undergraduate and graduate students participate in an interdisciplinary and intercultural learning experience - both online and on-site - working in teams to explore and co-create innovative solutions to shared sustainability challenges facing both countries.

<Program Overview>

1. Objectives:
● Intercultural Exchange - Experience Korean culture and society, while sharing Swedish perspectives on sustainability
● Expand Your Network - Connect with peers and mentors from Korea and Sweden
● Gain Real-world Skills - Build leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills in a global context
● Intercultural Exchange - Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to tackle sustainability challenges relevant to both countries

2. Theme: United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) - 2030 Agenda
● Student participants are given an opportunity to derive questions on their own and develop innovative and sustainable solutions with their team members

3. Date and Location:
● Date: August 2025 ~ February 2026
● Location: Korea and Sweden

4. Activities:
● Korea and Nordic In-person Workshops
● Online Sessions (Kick-off meeting, Progress Report Presentation, Coaching)

5. Task:
● Participants will be divided into teams according to their interests of the UNSDGs
● Throughout the program, each team will decide on an issue regarding the UNSDGs and design solutions for the issue they choose to tackle
● All teams will present their result at the end of the program

1. 모집 대상 및 인원: 인재림 및 문우림 수료생 10명 내외

2. 접수 방법: (기존 계정) 로그인 → 인재양성 프로그램 - 현재 모집중인 프로그램 - (K-N 퓨처챌린지) → 자세히 보기 → 개인정보 수집 및 이용에 동의 → 신청

3. 선발 일정:
● 서류 접수: 2025년 4월 25일 (금) ~ 5월 11일 (일) 23:59까지
● 서류 결과: 2025년 5월 16일 (금) 발표 예정
● 면접 심사: 2025년 5월 19일 (월) *화상 면접 가능
● 최종 결과: 2025년 5월 23일 (금) 발표 예정

4. '학력사항' 및 '역량정보' 기입 안내 사항

● (학력사항) 인재림 및 문우림 지원 이후 학적 변동사항*이 있는 자에 한하여 기입 및 증빙자료 제출* (변동 사항 없는 자 기입 불필요)
*학적 변동사항: 전과, 편입, 졸업, 대학원 진학 등
*증빙자료 제출: 학생 포털 조회화면 캡처본, pdf 등 어떠한 형태로도 제출 가능 (직인 날인된 공문서가 아니어도 됨)
● (역량정보) 기입 시 증빙자료 제출 불필요
